Gary McAvoy

Writer and entrepreneur Gary McAvoy was co-author, with Dr. Jane Goodall and Gail Hudson, of Harvest for Hope: A Guide to Mindful Eating (Grand Central, 2006). He is currently working on a book revealing new details of the 1959 Clutter murder case in Kansas, made famous by Truman Capote in his masterwork In Cold Blood.

In 2000 Gary conceived and edited a pioneering guide to the methods, strategies, and tactics for starting, building and maintaining successful technology companies. The result—Cracking the New Economy: Business Tools for the Entrepreneur (WSA, 2000)—featured the contributions of over 70 subject matter experts throughout the tech industry, and was published by the Washington Technology Industry Association.
